March brings the beginning of a new term at the Marvel Academy! We may not have warmer weather or blooming flowers yet, but we have new Bible passages and Shakespeare quotes! We even have a new patriotic song and excerpt from Common Sense. We finished our study of the Bill of Rights, so we start thru the 100 Civics questions and answers from the US naturalization test. As always, we have a monthly hymn, folk song (yay, Tolkien!), catechism, and multiple poems.
Each spring term we memorize a passage from the New Testament. I picked Romans 12 to give us a good foundation of how to daily live out our faith. As for Shakespeare, our children will memorize a longer passage from Julius Caesar for our homeschool community day so I chose a number of meaningful, well-known quotes. Et tu, Brute?!
I record the poems and catechism questions to help my youngest non-reader to memorize with us – so I share with you below too! The folk song and hymn links below are those that we use during our morning time. I hope this resource is a blessing to you and your family!
